Air rolls are used for non-contact conveying equipment in film and paper production lines.
We want to reduce product defects caused by scratches and wrinkles during conveyance of film and paper products. We want to simplify handling and reduce maintenance costs.
Nichidai Filter’s proposal/effect
Conventional air rolls are often made of sintered powder, and the unstable blowing and air volume caused scratches and wrinkles on the conveyed products, which sometimes resulted in product defects.
The following effects have been achieved through the use of air rolls made of sintered wire mesh, which have uniform openings and pressure drop, enabling sufficient air volume to be blown from the entire roll for levitation.
- The problem of scratches and wrinkles on the material being conveyed was solved.
- Contamination on rolls and equipment, and paper dust from conveyed materials were drastically reduced, and cleaning time was drastically shortened.
