Nichidai Filter Corporation is a pioneer in diffusion bonding (sintering) to form porous metal materials with a history of a quarter of a century.
We mainly produce a wide variety of stainless-steel materials (wire mesh, woven fabric, powder, etching, panels, etc. ) and porous materials such as Hastelloy. We do not stop at our own satisfaction, but thoroughly consider the customer’s point of view and deliver products that give form to our customers’ voices when manufacturing each and every product.
This is our mission, and we will continue it forever in the future.
In 1974, we commercialized and introduced our first standard sintered wire mesh “Absolta” to the market. This technology was the first of its kind in Japan, developed entirely in-house.
In 1980, we started the development of purely domestic rocket parts requiring diffusion bonding with the Institute of Space and Aeronautical Science, University of Tokyo, the predecessor of the present “JAXA,” and have continued development and production of such parts up to the present state-of-the-art aircrafts.
In Japan, we have an integrated production plant in Uji-Tawaracho in southern Kyoto Prefecture, the birthplace of green tea, or sencha, created by Soen Nagatani in the Edo period (1603-1868), and now the home of world-class “Uji tea.”
Overseas, we established TSM (Thai Sintered Mesh) in 2007 as a production and sales base in the Kingdom of Thailand, and now boast the world’s largest production capacity for diffusion bonded stainless steel products.
